a) Gandhi through Puppetry:
Prof. Radhakrishnan has done a number of experiments in his effort to take Gandhi to the masses to promote harmony, peace and national integration. In collaboration with the Indira Gandhi Centre for Arts and Culture in New Delhi, an experimental production on puppet play on Gandhi and rural masses were presented for which the script was prepared by Prof. Radhakrishnan who provided advisory guidance. Several special exhibitions and choral singing were arranged during 1992 in communally disturbed areas in North India. Gandhian constructive workers, intellectuals, public men and youth leaders were arranged in the search for a Gandhian alternative to the problem of violence.

c) Efforts to revitalize Gandhi Bhavans :
As part of the nation-wide efforts to revitalize the Gandhi Bhavans, Departments of Gandhian Studies, a Committee of six eminent Gandhian scholars was appointed in 1989 at a national UGC Workshop held in the University of Delhi to discuss further with the UGC officials and select Vice-Chancellors of the Education Ministry. Consequent on these efforts, two national workshops under the directorship of Dr. N. Radhakrishnan were held on the theme of strengthening of Universities through community participation in April 1995 and April 1996, at Madras and Delhi respectively.
Launching Certificate Course on Gandhian Strategies of Conflict Management and Nonviolent Leadership
The Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi and Indian Council of Gandhian Studies in association with the Melbourne Academy of Knowledge Management are jointly working on launching a Certificate course on Gandhian Strategies of Conflict Management and Nonviolent Leadership.
The Melody of Peace — a dance drama on Gandhi by Rangaprabhat
A dance drama on Satyagraha and Gandhi named the Melody of Peace was developed was scripted by Prof. Radhakrishnan and under his encouragement the Rangaprabhat Children’s Theatre, Venjaramoodu, Kerala in association with Indian Council of Gandhian Studies is being presented in educational institutions as part of awareness creation through performing arts.
Department of Peace (DOP)
Prof. Radhakrishnan is spearheading a national campaign to persuade the Government of India to establish a Department of Peace launched a signature campaign to collect 5 lakhs of signatures from the public to be submitted to the Prime Minister requesting him to move a bill in the parliament for the creation of a Department of Peace in Government of India. Until February 2007 over 50000 signatures have been collected. The campaign continues.
Himsamukth Bharat Andolan
As the National Convener of the Himsamukth Bharat Andolan he led a year-long intensive public campaign to educate people on the evil of violence and the necessity to develop alternative strategies to counter them. In a campaign vehicle accompanied by a team of 20 volunteers selected from various parts of the country he contacted over a lakh of homes and 400 educational institutions in the South and several states in other parts of the country to encourage them to take the pledge against violence. This massive campaign is the first step to identify and enlist a 1,00,000 families committed to nonviolence. 100 lectures and seminars on the Contemporary Relevance of Satyagraha. An ambitious program of special lectures by Prof. N. Radhakrishnan, followed by seminars on contemporary issues, analyzed from a Gandhian perspective was launched and until now 93 lectures were held in different parts of India and abroad.
