The Atlanta based  Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel  and Morehouse College will confer the  prestigious Gandhi King Ikeda  Peace Prize for 2017 upon Dr N.Radhakrishnan, the Gandhian scholar and peace activist .

A communication from the Award Committee states that “ This prize is to recognize and pay tribute to you for your efforts to guide the world to mutual respect based on your demonstrated commitment and action for courageous dialogue and for humanity to overcome barriers to a more peaceful future.

This marks the 50th year since Dr. King's tragic assassination on April 4, 1968 and this prize conferral ceremony will include the following also:

(1)  the unveiling of your oil portrait for installation in the HALL OF FAME (most prominent religious memorial to Dr. King).

(2) Lecture by you on the theme: The Expanding Frontiers of ‘The Dream’-The Gandhi,King and Ikeda Link.

(3) The Award Committee will also  sponsor your visit and opportunity to speak at Soka University of America (SUA) in Aliso Viejo, California on Tuesday, April 3 on  the theme: Gandhi and Nonviolent Awakening of Individual Potential for sustainable Peace.

(4) A  Lecture at the India Club of IMF,Washington

(5), Meeting arranged by Indian Club in Washington( 10th) and

(6) delivering the Concluding talk at New York of the  250th Gandhi Assessment   Lecture series are the  highlights of  the other programmes  arranged by the Martin Luther King 50th Martyrdom committee which is hosting the visit of Dr Radhakrishnan
